INFRASCAPE AREA monographic issue investigates the nature of so-called intelligent or new generation traffic infrastructures.
These infrastructures are the only ones that, front to the growing urban and territorial entropy, may solve complex problems without compromising or mortgaging future flexible and ended timing sceneries.
The research wants to focuse on a model of infrastructure with some added characteristics, beyond a merely traffic mono-functionalist point of view. Above that, it demonstrates, using real examples, that this kind of intervention should have to be seen as an opportunity to re-balance territorial lacks, with the character of common practice and not exceptionality.
