The project has to be read as a response to two main objectives: on one side, the reorganization and rationalization of the functional parts of the existing complex in order to equip it with the necessary technological and comfort upgrades, and on the other, the definition of new spaces that, by exploiting as much as possible the site potentialities and the characteristics of the historic building, would enhance the existing structure and house new functions within it.

The necessity to optimize available resources, leads to a flexible choice for the spaces of new planning, privileging a model which can adapt to the requirements of seasonal and temporal activities.

In the renewed Rowing Club there will be a bar, a restaurant, a solarium with swimming pool, a sauna, an indoor football field, a conditioned rowing pool space, a new gymnasium, new warehouses, a grass surface for open air physical activity, larger administrative offices, new locker rooms and one new reception area closer to the street and equipped with an internet access point.
